Trama: Dopo aver perso il padre in quello che ha tutta l'aria di essere stato un doppio suicidio d'amore, Yoshie si trasferisce dalla sua casa di Meguro a un minuscolo e vecchio appartamento a Shimokitazawa, un quartiere di Tokyo famoso per le sue stradine chiuse al traffico, i ristoranti, i negozietti, nonché meta degli alternativi della capitale. Qui Yoshie spera, aiutata dall'atmosfera vivace, di superare il dolore e dare una nuova direzione alla sua vita. Un giorno, però, sua madre le si presenta a casa all'improvviso con una borsa Birkin di Hermès e qualche sacchetto. Inizia così una bizzarra convivenza che unisce le due donne lungo il percorso di elaborazione del lutto che le ha colpite, le pone di fronte a verità inaspettate, le aiuta a scorgere fiochi lumi di speranza nel buio di una quotidianità ferita. "Moshi moshi" "pronto" al telefono - è il racconto di una rinascita, la favola delicata e struggente della vita di un quartiere, la storia di una madre, di una figlia, di un grande dolore e di qualche piccola felicità inattesa. 
Recensione: Libro di una poesia incredibile quest'ultimo della Yoshimoto, che riesce a rendere il dolore qualcosa di lieve e profondo allo stesso tempo, e la vita con tutte le sue inevitabili difficoltà e tragedie comunque degna di essere vissuta fino in fondo, come un viaggio la cui straordinaria bellezza risiede anche e soprattutto nel non sapere cosa accadrà domani, in un quartiere che con la sua storia e le sue caratteristiche riesce a guarire le protagoniste dando loro nuove speranze ed attese per il futuro. Felicità e' anche lenire il dolore vivendo nell'ambiente consono alla propria anima. La Yoshimoto migliora di libro in libro, dove consiglio di leggere tutti i libri di Banana Yoshimoto perchè sono bellissimi e interessanti a livello di trame.

Trama: Inghilterra, 1959. Dall'interno di un tetro manicomio criminale vittoriano uno psichiatra comincia a esporre, con apparente distacco, il caso clinico più perturbante che abbia incontrato nella sua carriera, la passione letale fra Stella Rahael, moglie di un' altro psichiatra dell'ospedale, e Edgar Stark, un artista detenuto per un uxoricidio particolarmente efferato. 
E' una vicenda cupa e tormentosa, che fin dalle prime righe esercita su di noi una malia talmente forte da risultare quasi incomprensibile, finché lentamente non ne affiorano le ragioni nascoste.
Recensione: Thriller psicologico, per l'esattezza questo libro parla di ossessione sessuale e di tradimento narrando l'amore malato di " Stella". Le vicende sono raccontate dallo psichiatra dei due protagonisti che nella maggior parte delle situazioni non era presente, e gli sono state raccontate poi. Si percepisce la follia di Stella, del fatto di lasciare tutto e tutti per una storia d'amore che non potrà mai andare a lieto fine. L'autore coglie tutte le sfumature della malattia mentale di Stella ed Edgar e ce le mostra a nudo tra le righe di queste pagine. Nonostante ci siano pochi dialoghi, e sia molto descrittivo, la narrazione non annoia mai, anzi ti porta a volerne sapere di più. Libro che scorre via veloce, pagina dopo pagina. Stella compie un percorso di autodistruzione in nome del suo amore segreto: malgrado ciò gli uomini che si avvicinano a lei se ne innamorano, cercando di riportarla a un ordine costituito e borghese. Davvero scritto bene e consiglio la lettura.

Review: The epilogue of the magical saga of Harry Potter, dominated by a gloomy atmosphere, without hope, now that the victory of the Dark Lord seems certain. Always very smooth and pleasant as a reading, he does not lack anything. In fact, the final battle is very impressive, full of fallen on both sides. Even if it's a small part, I really liked Lucius and Narcisa Malfoy: in the midst of the battle that rages their only thought is the son. It is the only book in which Dumbledore is not there, for obvious reasons, and yet it is the one in which he has struck me most, so much so that I am left speechless. He had planned everything, every move, every decision, of friends and enemies, even after his death. There is no doubt that it was his mind that defeated Voldemort. I liked the saga a lot, it is well written, intriguing, funny, compelling. But this makes it a beautiful fantasy saga exceptional! I recommend to everyone this saga because it is really beautiful!

Review: Many books have been written, some of them are able to excite the reader so much to push him to reserve them a special place in his heart, but, so far, only Harry Potter was able to make me live, even if only with the mind, in a new, magical world, a world full of friends, laughter, adventure. A world shaped by loyalty as well as fear, friendship and hatred, courage and cowardice. In Harry Potter I see not only a book, but a companion with whom to cry, laugh, joke and eventually fall in love.
One of my favorites of the saga. Beautiful , intriguing and never heavy, not only in the general plot but also in the individual moments, a quality common to all seven books. Speaking of the Slytherins  one of my favorite families, Draco Malfoy reveals an aspect deeper, proving to be a simple boy, influenced by the reality in which he found himself growing up. Book that I recommend!

I think that Harry Potter is not just a series of books that tell you a good story of magic and adventure, but I think they are books that can convey something more than just an adventure you can fantasize about. It teaches you to believe in true friendship, to face life and its challenges, to fight with courage for what you believe in, teaches you to be fair and just and urges you to always seek the truth. In short, a book that I recommend!

Review: Rowling has the ability to enclose in a single work: the intrigue that hides behind a mysterious series of events, the envy that is enclosed in the heart of those who did not know to love, the courage of those who lost and those who are not willing to surrender. Life puts you in front of a thousand problems, but it's not hiding that you can solve them. Every good book has a message to reveal to you, a secret to be revealed and this has many. If you have the patience to understand, and the attention to read between the lines, you will see a world able to warm up.
Young wizards become aware: they begin to master magic, they are partially aware of what happens around them, obtaining in short that autonomy that will make them act no more instinctively as in previous volumes. The protagonists not only mature intellectually, but also physically, and with their metamorphosis also the structure of this fourth novel begins to change. A beautiful book that I recommend to all the Harry Potter lovers.

Trama: Il giovane e ribelle cadetto Cirano di Bergerac, famoso per il naso enorme e per il suo forte temperamento, è disperatamente innamorato di Rossana. Giustamente definita una "commedia eroica", questa è la prima traduzione in prosa che abbiamo in italiano, una vera e propria rilettura del personaggio, che abbandona così qualcosa della sua natura romantica per rivelare in parte il suo malessere, la sua disperazione e la sua smania suicida di duellare. Stravagante e rissoso, Cirano entrò giovanissimo nei cadetti (Compagnia delle Guardie), diventando famoso per il suo spirito aggressivo. Lasciò la carriera delle armi per dedicarsi alle lettere. Non modificò, tuttavia, le abitudini in fatto di spada e libertinaggio, conducendo una vita disordinata che rapidamente lo ridusse in miseria.
Recensione: Ho letto Cirano 'in versi' e credo che una prosa spersonalizzerebbe in maniera totale l'opera, la cui bellezza sta, appunto, nella sua poesia. Bravo Rostand! Il Cyrano è romantico, ironico, con un fondo di dolore. Grande lettura, capace di conservare il suo fascino immutato nei secoli. Un libro che consiglio!
